Hello Alicia, I hope you’re doing well. I’m a professional artist specializing in comics, NSFW arts (18+), sci-fi, romance , fantasy, book covers, and character design. I’m looking for commissions..I can help turn your novel into a comic also i work on covers, logos, pages, panels, and also adult works. Can I show you my works?
Alicia, I loved the unusual perspective you chose here. Experiencing the journey from the snake’s point of view immediately turns what could have been a straightforward account of a fascinating tradition into something wonderfully immersive and mysterious.
The gradual widening of the world is particularly effective—the grass at ground level, the human arm, the village procession, the mountains, and finally that descent beneath the earth. It feels almost cinematic, yet you retain the atmosphere of an old ritual whose meaning extends far beyond what is visible.
I was especially struck by the tenderness with which the snakes are portrayed. They are not objects of fear here, but cherished participants in something ancient and communal. That transformation of the familiar into the unexpected is one of the things I most enjoy in storytelling.
I’m happily subscribing because writing that finds mystery hiding inside real places and traditions is very close to my own heart. I write a series called Mountain Mysteries at The Reflective State, where Himalayan landscapes, old legends, mist, and unexplained encounters inhabit similarly uncertain territory. If curiosity ever leads you there, I’d be delighted to have you visit and share your thoughts.
Very glad to have discovered your work. You managed to make me travel through an Italian village as a snake—which was certainly not on my itinerary for today. 🐍
Oh, this is such a wonderful comment!! Thank you so much for taking the time to read. I am a great fan of the mystical energy that surrounds all of us, every day, no matter where we are. I read voraciously, which is how I discover these real life oddities, and I always want to share them. Thus, my little stories. I will certainly check out your writing! The Himalayas seem like a treasure trove of magic and mystery. Thanks again for your lovely reflection.❤️
Love it! I love your voice as a writer.
Many are afraid of them, but snakes are some of my favorite animals.
And I didn't know about this festival until reading this and then looking it up. Very cool
Thanks so much!! Yeah, in case you couldn’t tell, I’m fascinated by weird and obscure stuff in real life. Truth really is stranger than fiction.
I love how you described this. I really enjoyed this.
Ah, that’s terrific! Thanks so much for checking it out. ❤️
Serpentine cargo? 😂 The hero of this story was quite fortunate that no one in this village had heard of the snakeskin jacket.
Don't mind me; I'm always waiting for the other shoe to drop. The light 'n breezy tone was super-refreshing. Awesome piece!
🤣🤣 Or the snakeskin boot! Thank you so much for reading it and for the wonderful comment.

Good for all involved. Even snakes need love. I say that as neither a fan or a hater of snakes. Great piece...thank you Alicia.
Exactly right! Every living thing has a place, even if we don’t understand it. Thanks for checking it out! ❤️

Can't say I'm a fan of snakes but I enjoyed your tale
